Prepare to swoon as we share details of Real Chic Bride, Abby, and her storybook wedding in the quaint, seaside town of Stresa, Italy. We first met Abby when she was a featured bride on Randy to the Rescue. (We just love Randy and worked with him when he was in filming in Miami last year.) “I must have tried on 30 dresses in total but it was Randy who helped me pick out ‘the one’ and it was everything I wanted: a form fitting gown with a sweetheart cut and lace detail with sparkles,” says Abby. “And the bolero that Chic Parisien made for me absolutely completed the look – it was perfect.”
Abby and her husband Chris wed on a remote island located just off the coast of Stresa called Isola Pescatori. As the island is too small for commuter traffic, the bride and her bridal party walked the picturesque, cobblestone streets of Isola Pescatori toward the Catholic Church located there. “That day I learned that Italy loves weddings; everyone on the island stopped what they were doing to cheer me on and share their best wishes,” says Abby. “I arrived at the church at the precise moment when the church bells struck 3 p.m. and the entire crowd, which had amassed at that point, erupted in cheers. It was such a magical moment. I felt like I was a princess who was about to marry her prince!”
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Villa Rusconi in Stresa. Abby describes the celebration as having a “classic, vintage” feel.
The merriment continued until 2:00am with a live band and DJ. “I’m a dancer, so the night would not have been complete without a lot of dancing,” adds Abby. “So after a couple of dances with my husband, one slow and the other a bachata, my dad and I surprised the crowd with a spoof dance and toward the end of it, everyone was on the dance floor, swaying to ‘All You Need Is Love’.”
On behalf of the entire Chic Parisien team, AUGURI to Abby and Chris!
